Instagram generation ‘risking smiles’

The Instagram generation are putting their smiles at risk according to a letter signed by over 1000 British dentists and sent to the Daily Telegraph. Illegal whitening treatments, DIY braces and other treatments promising a perfect smile for a fraction of the cost are leaving people at risk of sensitivity and tooth loss, the letter said. Dentists are being encouraged to educate patients about the dangers of so-called ‘backstreet’ cosmetic dentistry.
