Good oral health may guard against Covid19

An interesting study by the German Society of Dentistry and Oral Medicine, published in the British Dental Journal has revealed a link between poor oral health and severity of Covid-19 infection. It’s thought that people suffering from oral disease are more susceptible to infection and higher viral load than those with a healthy oral cavity, leading to calls for oral disease to be considered as a comorbidity for Covid-19, along with conditions like hypertension and diabetes.
