Gender inequality

Falling incomes, dropping patient numbers and persistent inequality for women – the latest release of NHS statistics at the end of the summer break makes for some worrying reading. An informative summary of the statistics published on reveals an up to 36% reduction in real income for some dental professionals over the last decade. Just 50.2% of people have seen a dentist on the NHS in the past two years, and female dentists earn around a third less than their male counterparts.
