Easy on the chocolate

Even dentists can have a sweet tooth and with Easter almost here, temptation is EVERYWHERE! There’s nothing wrong with enjoying a chocolate egg (or two) as part of a balanced diet, but there’s also a risk you’ll see more of your patients a few months from now as the extra sugar consumption starts to kick in. The good news is that chocolate isn’t as bad for teeth as some other treats like sticky sweets so sticking to a good oral hygiene routine of twice daily brushing should be enough to fend off decay. Don’t forget, there are also lots of reduced sugar and sugar free chocolate options available these days too – a great swap to recommend for kids!
